The National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASSLAF) Northwest Zone have expressed their unwavering solidarity and support for Abbas Tajudeen and Sanator Barau Jibrin for their aspirations to hold the positions of Speaker of the House of Representatives and Deputy Senate President of the National Assembly, representing the Zone.
The Forum has expressed its support at a press briefing in the Senate Press Corps of National Assembly on Tuesday in Abuja.
“We express our unwavering solidarity and support for your respective aspirations to hold the positions of Speaker of the House of Representatives and Deputy Senate President of the National Assembly, representing the Northwest Zone. We wholeheartedly endorse and stand united behind your candidacies, hoping to witness your well-deserved victories.
We Legislative Aides would like to place on record that the Northwest Geo-Political Zone contributed the highest number of votes to the APC in the Presidential and the National Assembly elections, playing a crucial role in keeping the party in power and securing the majority of honorable members and distinguished senators in both chambers. Therefore, the zone rightfully deserves the aforementioned positions
We respectfully assure both candidates of our unshakable support, as well as the support of our principals, regardless of party affiliation, in ensuring their victory in the upcoming contests. It is our earnest desire that they assume positions of leadership in the 10th Assembly and provide quality governance for the Nigerian people.”
The Forum Zonal Leader, Abdulrazaraq Ibrahim Dunkawa called on other contestants to allow for party supremacy to establish discipline, order and legislative democracy to thrive in the 10th Assembly.
He said, the trust and confidence placed in both Abbas and Barau by the people qualify them to aspire to the higher responsibilities in the 10th National Assembly.
The Forum also expressed heartfelt congratulations to Rt. Hon. Abass Tajudeen and Distinguished Senator Barau Jibrin on their resounding victory in the recently concluded general elections that have earned them a return to the esteemed chambers of the National Assembly. Their triumph serves as a testament to their exceptional track records, competence, and remarkable leadership: abilities, setting them apart from their competitors in the electoral race
