The Voice of New Fagge an association of concerned Fagge Community is alleging that, there is a plan by the incumbent member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Sulaiman Goro to rig the just concluded election.
In a press release signed by Dr Muhammad Suleiman Abdullahi, PRO, Voice of New Fagge on behalf of the Executive Members made available to Viewfinder on Tuesday in Kano said, there was over voting in the area which may result to rerun election in the area.
“We were informed that there is “over-voting” in some polling units. This made the election “inconclusive” and “rerun” would be conducted. These are not to our expectations”
According to the release, there is an allegation that Hon. Aminu Suleiman Goro of All Progressive Congress, APC, who is the third in this election is working tirelessly to increase the number of cancelled votes so that to pave way for him to rig the election in his favour and this will not augur well with our democracy and the peace of the people of Fagge Local Government.
The association therefore, notifies INEC about the growing tension, apprehension, anger and uncertainties brewing in Fagge Local Government’s communities over the recently concluded National Assembly elections.
It also want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned that the Fagge Local Government’s National Assembly election winner should be declared without wasting time.
The New Voice said, the good people of Fagge Local Government have gladly responded to the clarion call of INEC. They exercised their civic constitutional duty peacefully with the hope that INEC would be neutral in declaring the winner of the election.
The association call on INEC to immediately declare the winner of Fagge Local Government National Assembly election in order to preserve the peace of the good people of Fagge Local Government and Kano State in general.
