Kano State Government has reiterated its commitment towards the provision of adequate and qualitative health care delivery system in the state according to a statement signed by Adamu Abdullahi, Director Public Enlightenment Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs.
He said, the Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, Baba Halilu Dantiye stated this when he received the State team of Social Mobilization Working Group of State Primary Healthcare Management Board who paid him a visit at his office.
Dantiye who expressed delight over the visit, assured the readiness of Information Ministry towards enlightening the public on any medical campaign embark upon by the state health sector, adding that, he will leave any stone unturned in publicizing and creating awareness among the citizens of the State.
He described Human Papilloma Viru or (Warmb Cancer) among women as a dangerous illness which claims lives of many women, saying only concerted efforts will address the menace.
The Commissioner therefore, advised the team to seek the support of all media outfits in the state with a view to making effective public enlightenment among our teeming populace
Earlier, Head of the team who is also the Social Mobilization Officer of the State Primary Healthcare Management Board, Ado Jibirin Sanda, had told the Commissioner that very soon immunization campaign against Human Papilloma Viru or (Warmb Cancer) will commence in the state.
Sanda further revealed that girls between 9 and 14 years will be immunize against the virus and 6 million children are targeted.
