New Northern Senators Chairman Calls For Cooperation, Unity To Move The Forum Forward

The newly elected Chairman of the Northern senators Forum,  Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua has called for the cooperation and support of the members of the Forum in order to address the numerous challenges facing the region and Nigeria at large.
He made call shortly after his election as the New Chairman of the Forum in an interview with journalists on Thursday at the National Assembly complex.
He said the forum will equally join hand with all senators from the region and beyond towards finding a lasting solution the challenges bedevilling the north especially security, poverty, drug abuse and other vices.
The new Chairman of the forum however solicited the support of the executives arms of government in providing sufficient infrastructures in the north to ensure the electorates benefit immensely from the current democratic dispensation.
Northern Senators Forum elected Sen. Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua, from Katsina State as their new Chairman following the resignation of the former Chairman Sen. Abdul Ningi, from Bauchi State who was suspended by the Senate for the period of three months.
Also elected was Sen. Muhammad Tahir Munguno, from Borno State as the forum’s new Public Relations Officer to replace Sen. Kawu Ibrahim Sumaila from Kano State.
The new Chairman Sen Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua, promised to run a leadership that would carry all the senators along.
Sen. Yar’adua who lauded the leadership style of the former Chairman of the northern Senators Forum Sen Abdul Ningi, said he will continue to seek for his advice to tap from his wealth of experience in moving the north forward.
