RE- A CALL FOR DIGNITY : APPRECIATING OUR GOVERNOR’S SUPPORT TO PENSIONERS, WHILE HOPING FOR THE SETTLEMENTS OF OUTSTANDING GRATUITIES.
Your Excellency,With deep respect and sincere appreciation, I wish to commend your administration for the commendable efforts made towards improving the welfare of pensioners in our state,
particularly the steps taken in settling pension arrears. These actions have rekindled hope and brought relief to many retired civil servants who spent the most productive years of their lives in the service of the state.
Your Excellency, while pensioners remain profoundly grateful for these positive gestures, pensioners do humbly and respectfully appeal for your continued intervention toward the settlement of the outstanding gratuities owed to retirees. For many elderly pensioners,
the payment of these gratuities represents not only financial relief but also a recognition of their years of loyal service.
Your Excellency, permit me once again to remind you the vital opportunity presented to you by Almighty Allah through your mandate: that is the ability and opportunity to write your name in the hearts of thousands and get your name written on a golden place in the History of our dear State.
This reminder also reflect a statement by former Kano State Deputy Governor Prof. Hafeez Abubakar in a recent political gathering at which his excellency was in attendance he said: in Hausa, Language and I quote: “Me Girma Gwamna kayi amfani da damar ka a halin yanzu, ka gabatar da duk abin alkhairi da Allah ya nufe ka da yi domin mu bamu da irin wannan damar a halin yanzu”Another important reminder your excellency is that clearing the entire gratuity debt will stand as a clear expression of your profound (GRATITUDE) to Almighty Allah, who in his infinite wisdom safeguarded your mandate despite the challenges that took your case up to the supreme court.
Indeed, leadership is most admired when it demonstrates compassion and fairness to those who once carried the responsibilities of public service.
Thus, pensioners in the State remain hopeful that under your distinguished leadership, the issue of outstanding gratuities will receive favourable consideration so that, the circle of care and justice for pensioners can be fully completed.With sincere appreciation,
