Kano state government is working assiduously on various packages to widen a window of accessibility to decent and affordable housing by the general public.

The State Commissioner for Housing Development, Arc. Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu MNIA dropped the hint at the Renewed Hope Housing PPP Summit 2.0 holding at Shehu Musa Yar’aduwa Conference Centre, Abuja. He said the State government targeted the result of positive realization in housing projects through a simplified access that will favour applicants.
Arc. Adamu added that the kano state government resolved to simplify housing accessibility to the citizens through public private partnership (PPP). He praised the commitment of the Federal Government’s towards the attaining welfare of its citizens, particularly in addressing the pathetic housing deficit across the nation.
The Commissioner while digesting the theme of the programme, “From Policy To Projects Financing and Delivering Housing at Scale Through PPPs,” saying it coincided with what the state government is putting in Kano, adding that proposals from reputable development partners have been received and are receiving required attention.
” Proposals are received, and it will also soon be appraised towards realizing their proposed housing idea for the benefit of our people,” the Commissioner stated.
The Commissioner explained that the state government under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency Governor Abba Kabir gave approval for construction of 480 housing units for a starting tagged Gida -Gida mega city at Rijiyar Gwan-Gwan, along Maiduguri Road, and it consists of all facilities that makes a morden city.
