The African Democratic Congress has prioritised on adequate preparations of Aspirants and good opportunity to Women and Youth to participate fully in running the affairs of this country for good governance.

Muhammad Akibu said although every party has to go through this process but ADC made its own to be top and adhere strictly to the electoral laws,
He said the objective is to have their candidates intact clean and clear from any defect and inturn avoid any litigations in courts after the elections especially being the strong opposition party that would be dragging with the ruling party
“That’s why we do it and keenly to make sure that our candidates
that we are presenting to INEC are genuine and clean and clear.”
As for Women and Youth Akibu explained that they are the bedrock of any nation they have the highest population, it is only in Nigeria that you abandon them when you become something.
The National Financial Secretary further said women in every household, mostly in the north have the highest number of votes So you can see the reason why we give the women and Youth the priorities.
He added that everywhere Youth are the ones, being use as mobilizers, campaigners and doing the major works in the.electiral process almost all the time that us why we give them what belongs to them.
Akibu believes that this will give them the opportunity to participate themselves in the law making process and establishing good governance rather than being used for selfish interest by other politicians
He said the African Democratic Congress this time around gave them all the necessary financial support to allow them be.part of the political process in Nigeria
Akibu gave an example of how supportive the party is to women and youth, for example a youth aspirant, pays 50% of the form, and a woman aspirant pay 25% of the form.
“if I pay a form, five million naira, a woman aspirant will pay 1.5, while youth aspirant will pay 2.5. Is it not enough support for women and youth? Is it not support? ”
He called in the electorates to come out and participate in this democratic process because we are looking for good governance, we must come out and vote for good people to rule the country for a better life for all.
