ADC Primaries: Members Commend Screening Exercise, Describe Process Transparent, Professional

Aspirants seeking governorship tickets on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have commended the party’s screening exercise, describing it as transparent, professional and in line with national democratic standards.

Speaking after the exercise, Senator Mohamed Onawo, representing Nasarawa South has described the screening process as transparent.

On party primaries, Onawo declared support for consensus arrangements, saying they promote unity and reduce post-primary divisions.

Major General Nuhu Angbozo Rtd in his comment has assured Nigerians especially the people of Nasarawa state condusive environment for sustained security of lives and property

He said as agrarian society security is paramount before we achieve any meaningful development, urging the electirates to play the game of politics in a peaceful and mature manner for sustainable peace, unity ,progress and development of Nigerians

Also speaking, a former Governor of Adamawa, Sen Mohammed Jibrilla popularly called Bindow applauded the committee for conducting thorough, transparent, and intellectually engaging exercise ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Governorship aspiran from Kaduna state Shuaibu Idris Mikati said his reason for joining the party is to protect our country’s resources very well for the benefit of Nigerians not just few individuals.

He expressed commitment on the need to stop money politics, saying It is high time that Nigerians should desist from money politics.
Nigerians should be a little bit reasonable, although poverty is a serious disease.

He added that yes, we can be desperate, but we should be able to have dignity,honor, and some level of sincerity of purpose ,saying for
how long should we continue to be having leaders that we do not desire to have? Just because they are giving people little money

He opined that it is high time that Nigerians should begin to question those in authority, the source of wealth of certain people among them

Also a former senator from Bauchi and Govornortorial aspirant Halliru Jika described ADC party as the only opposition meant to salvage this country

Jika believes that African Democratic Congress is the only party stands between freedom and arnachy, saying is the hope of Nigerians.

Meanwhile senator Ahmad Babba Kaita from Katsina expressed his satisfaction on how the exercise went on seamlessly

He said the party has done a.marvelouse arrangement and gave Nigerians the opportunity to participate fully in the.Nigerian politicking without any viaseness

He then urged the electirates to come out in peaceful manner and cast their votes in accordance with the electoral act’s provisions, advising them to desist from any form of violence during the forth coming 2027 general elections

Also Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil from Kano urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the country to have the best, so that the country will continue to survive

He said Nigerians must have the feelings of Nigerian project morthern the way they love themselves and make a positive infact to continue to live in peace, harmony and unity

Similarly an aspirant from Oyo state Oloye Adegboyega expressed satisfaction with the screening exercise and promised if given the mandate to lead Oyo state and ensure infrastructural development in the state

He assured that his focus will be to correct the wrongs ,saying they have been going to developed countries seeing what can be done to improve the living standard of people , thus the rationale behind his candidature to execute what will be of immense benefit to the people of Oyo state.

On his part, Great Ogboru , a Delta governorship aspirant, promised an equal opportunity development initiative to ensure every local government received dedicated monthly funds for grassroots development.

Ogboru said the initiative would guarantee localised implementation of projects to prevent exclusion and accelerate simultaneous development across all councils.

Also, a former 2023 governorship candidate for Lagos Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour described the screening as a critical safeguard against future legal disputes and a demonstration of institutional strength.

Rhodes-Vivour said the process was necessary to ensure all contestants had valid documentation and met required standards before emerging as candidates.

According to the aspirant, parties that follow due process are better positioned to endure and provide credible leadership.

He urged voters to elect leaders committed to public service rather than personal enrichment or elite patronage.

Rhodes-Vivour expressed confidence in stronger political performance than in previous elections.

It was gathered that aspirants from, Delta, Benue, Zamfara, Plateau, Bauchi, Adamawa, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano Rivers and many other states also commended the screening process

However the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party ADC Queen Okiyi comfurmed that so far they have screened over seventy aspirants , assuring that they have over a hundred aspirants

In a related development the deputy National Youth Leader (Female) of the African Democratic Congress Obaro Uloho has reassured that the party has given women Youth more chances to participate fully in the political activities in Nigeria

Speaking through her representative Kabir Sajo said ADC has given women Youth special consideration in all it’s activities , urging femal folks to wake up and use tge opportunity in participating for the development of women and the entire country.
