The Commissioner ministry of Nomadic and Pastoral Affairs in Niger state has reassured his commitment in ensuring peaceful coexistence between Farmers and herders in the state

The Commissioner said, Niger state  Government is taking steps through the ministry  to ensure all the wrongs  are corrected, saying right now they have  created  reconciliation  committees to discuss issues affecting farmers and Fulani clashes generally.

He said this has significantly yielded positively by achieving about seventy percent success, saying they were able to reconcile so many groups

He noted that the present administration in the state is committed to bringing all the groups together to look inward and identify the genesis of insecurity and other challenges bedeviling the Fulani especially nomads, saying if these problems are identified, it will be easy to solve.

Umar Ahmad therefore appealed to leaders to cooperate with the authorities by fishing out the real criminals among them and hand them over to the appropriate authorities concern to achieve the required  peace in the state and the country
